Because this filter is larger and less restrictive than the OEM Mazda filter, there is less stress put on the fuel pump. Lower pre filter pressures permit less current draw and thus lower fuel temperatures. This phenomenon permits an increase in fuel flow. It is located just to the inside of the RH rear tire. The NA chassis uses barbed fittings and the NB chassis uses SAE quick connect fittings. Both variations are provided (2 fittings will not be used).
